Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire resides in a quiet area of Montreal Island known as West Island. People who don't understand the name mistakenly believe that it is the West Island extends westward from Montreal. It is actually it is the West Island includes everything westward from the city of Lachine. Many times, it is credited as the location of birth of Amanda Brugel but while that is the case, her time there was not long. Brugel grew in Courtice located just outside of Oshawa. A Fine Arts Talent Scholarship led her to York University, where she completed her studies in Theatre and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts in the year 2000. In the past 20 years, Brugel's work been seen on the small and big screen. She gained the most recognition when she landed her character of Rita in the award-winning television series The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor on the show in the season 1 which was viewed only at times.
